Yvonne is a freelance writer who is committed to sharing information that can help pet parents give their pets the best life. She has fostered dozens of dogs and cared for cats, guinea pigs, birds, turtles, fish—you name it! Yvonne earned her bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in journalism from California State University, Fullerton, where she was also awarded scholarships.

Yvonne Villasenor is a life-long animal lover who has nearly a decade of experience as a writer, crafting content for newspapers, websites, and small businesses. When she started her career as a journalist in 2015, she fostered dozens of dogs to give them the love and care they needed so they could be their healthiest, happiest selves.

Yvonne began writing about pets in 2019 to bring awareness to canine cancer after her young Chihuahua was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She finds great joy in being able to not only live with pets but write about them, too.
